Strathesk Primary School opened in 2008 and saw the coming together of Ladywood and Eastfield Primary Schools and Strathesk Nursery School. Strathesk is a non-denominational primary school with fourteen classes and a nursery. We have an established Parent Partnership who support the life and work of the school and meet regularly with the Head Teacher to share ideas and help to drive school improvement. We are very lucky to have such a lovely school in the heart of the community with such beautiful views to the Pentland Hills.
Strathesk is one of four primary schools in the Penicuik Associated Schools Group, along with Penicuik High School. We have strong links with our neighbouring schools and regularly work together to develop our learning community.
